Preparation to celebrate International Literacy Day

Agartala, 30 Aug, (TIWN) With a view to commemorate the International Literacy Day, a high level meeting was held in the city on Friday
Headed by Chief Minister Manik Sarkar. Other Ministers and top-level officials of the government also attended the meeting.
During the meeting decision was taken to celebrate the literacy day in a befitting manner, round the state on September 08 next while the central programme will be held in the city and highlight the achievement of the state.
Over the last few months, the concerned departments of the state have been working hard to make the ‘agenda’ of declaring the state cent percent literate. The Friday meeting discussed issues that are related to the observance of the day, mainly.
