AIDYO Protested Demanding Recruitment and No Corruption in Recruitment : 10 Lakh Posts Vacant under Central Govt

AGARTALA, Oct 15 (TIWN): All India Democratic Youth Organization demanded rapid recruitment in government departments that are laid vacant. According to AIDYO, there are 10 lakhs of vacant posts in 78 departments of the central government. Amid thousands of vacant posts, there is recruitment — protesting against this trend, the organization protests. The protest participants also mentioned that when there are recruitment these are affected either through corruption or through question paper leaks which need to be stopped.

“Currently, the youth of the country are trying to earn a living in illegal and unethical ways, driven by the burning fire of unemployment. They are trying to earn a living in precarious ways like migrant workers and gig workers. The central and state governments are not taking any concrete steps to solve this burning problem. According to the report of the central government's finance department, there are about 10 lakh vacant posts in 78 government departments. There are no appointments for lakhs of vacant posts in the states. The private IT and manufacturing sectors are shrinking and laying off workers. The largest number of youth work in the agriculture sector. But every day thousands of farmers are leaving agriculture. In this situation, even where there are employment opportunities, recruitment corruption and question papers are being leaked. As a result, strong protests are growing among the unemployed youth across the country. Thousands of unemployed youth are taking to the streets in various states including Uttarakhand, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and others.

In this situation, the All India Democratic Youth Organization is raising the following demands: 1) Specific programs should be taken to solve the unemployment problem by filling all the vacant posts, creating new posts and arranging for personal initiatives. 2) Strict steps should be taken to stop recruitment corruption, control question paper leakage and make arrangements for the employment of the unemployed. 3) Exemplary punishment should be given to those guilty of recruitment corruption and question paper leakage.

The organization has taken an all-India protest program on these demands. As a part of it, a protest meeting was held at Paradise Chowmuhani on the initiative of the state committee of the organization today. The state president of the organization, Shri Bhavatosh De, spoke, calling for the formation of a youth movement on these demands. Later, a delegation submitted a memorandum to the Honorable Prime Minister of the country to the West Tripura District Magistrate.”
