AGARTALA, Oct 11 (TIWN): Residents of Sonaimuri Gram Panchayat's Nathpara area are up in arms over the deplorable condition of a rural road that has been in a state of disrepair for over 15 years. The road, which connects the village to the main road, has become a nightmare for commuters, students, and patients. The area is home to two schools, Ujan Sonaimuri J.B School and Sonaimuri Halam Basti S.B School, and over 50 families. Despite repeated pleas to the authorities, no significant repairs have been made to the road. The locals are now threatening to stage a protest on the main road if their demands are not met.
"We are forced to risk our lives every day due to the poor condition of the road," said a resident. "We urge the government to take immediate action to repair the road and make it safe for commuters." The locals have given the authorities an ultimatum, failing which they will launch a larger agitation.
