AGARTALA, Oct 9 (TIWN): A disturbing incident of domestic violence has come to light in Sonamura sub-division of Tripura. A father-in-law allegedly attacked his son's family members with a sharp weapon, leaving his wife and daughter-in-law seriously injured. The incident occurred over a family dispute.

The victims, Khusneha Begum and Salma Akhtar, were rushed to Melaghar Hospital and later referred to Agartala GB Hospital due to the severity of their injuries. The accused, Nurul Islam, is currently absconding, and the police are investigating the matter.
