AGARTALA, Oct 8 (TIWN): A violent incident occurred in Bishramganj's Dewanbazar area when a group of people allegedly stopped a vehicle heading to Matabari and assaulted the occupants, including women, men, and children. The attack was sparked by a minor bike accident between the vehicle's occupants and some locals from Bishalgarh's Baidyardighi area.

According to reports, the bike rider was unharmed in the accident, but the situation escalated when a group of bike-borne individuals chased down the vehicle and brutally assaulted the occupants. Shockingly, despite the incident occurring in front of police personnel, no one has been arrested yet.

Instead, the victims have been taken to the police station and detained since noon. The incident has raised concerns about the effectiveness of law enforcement in maintaining public safety.
