AGARTALA, Oct 3 (TIWN): A 14 years old girl left in critical condition after alleged sexual harassment and physical torture by a businessman Shankar Das. Mayor Dipak Majumder visited GB hospital to see her condition and talked to her family members. After seeing the victim and the family, the Mayor told the media that anyone who is involved in this incident will not be spared.

The incident happened in the West Jaynagar area at around morning 10 AM on Thursday. A fishing businessman named Shankar Das allegedly took the opportunity of an isolated room and molested her. When she tried to stop him, he attacked her further physically, leaving her injured.

At a point, people started approaching the area listening to her screaming but Shankar Das managed to escape from the spot.

Shankar Das who is now absconding, is in police’s radar. Police started an investigation and launched a search operation for the accused person with all necessary measures that could be taken.
