AGARTALA, Sep 17 (TIWN): Madrasa teachers under SPQEM/SPEMM demanded regularization and placed deputation to the Director of Education in this regard.

Their demands include - bringing all SPQEM/SPEMM Madrasa under Grant-in-Aid, regularization of the Madrasa teachers, providing sports equipment, infrastructure in Madrasa schools, and inclusion of equal work- equal pay norm, etc.

Talking to media, a Madrasa teacher said, the Director of Education assured them that their demands will be taken under consideration and necessary steps would be provided in this regard.
