AGARTALA, Sep 9 (TIWN): Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha has appealed to all clubs to stay out of pressuring the common people for Durga puja donations, stating, "Such violations and extortions, in any form, will not be tolerated."
"Festivals are meant to unite all religions and communities. One's happiness should not be the cause of others' pain," said CM.
"The administration will be in action, and if any issue arises before the administration, then action will be taken against clubs. Forcing people for donations, in any form, will not be tolerated," he added.
The chief minister has also appealed to the common people to lodge complaints if they face harassment by clubs.
