AGARTALA, Sep 6 (TIWN): A shocking incident has come to light in the Vijaynagar Panchayat area under Sabroom police station in Tripura. A 56-year-old woman, Anima Dey, wife of Swapan Dey, was found dead in a fire at her residence. The incident occurred on Friday night, and the body was discovered by the victim's daughter-in-law, wife of Sanjoy Dey, on Saturday morning.
According to the family, Anima Dey had been suffering from physical illness for a long time. Preliminary investigations suggest that the victim might have committed suicide by pouring kerosene on herself. However, the exact cause of death is yet to be determined.
The police were informed, and a team from Sabroom police station arrived at the scene. The body was sent to Sabroom Sub-Divisional Hospital morgue for autopsy. The police have launched an investigation to determine whether it was a case of suicide or murder.
