AGARTALA, Sep 5 (TIWN): A case has been filed at the Bishalgarh police station regarding a WhatsApp scam that compromises mobile phones and leads to financial losses. The scam involves links sent via WhatsApp and email, purportedly from the RTO Traffic Challan app.
According to the complaint, clicking on these links results in the WhatsApp account being hacked, and money being deducted from the victim's bank account. The police have urged citizens to avoid clicking on suspicious links and to be cautious when receiving unsolicited messages.
The incident highlights the growing concern over cybercrimes and the need for citizens to be vigilant when interacting with digital platforms.
