AGARTALA, Aug 20 (TIWN): A solemn ceremony was held at the Vidyasagar Party Office to mark the 25th death anniversary of Dr. Ajit Roy Chowdhury, a prominent CPI(M) leader from Jogendra Nagar area. Dr. Chowdhury was brutally murdered 25 years ago on August 30.

The event, organized by the DYFI Jogendra Nagar Area Committee, included a blood donation camp. Former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar, MLA Ramu Das, and other dignitaries attended the ceremony, paying tribute to Dr. Chowdhury's legacy.

Dr. Chowdhury's sacrifice for the party and the community continues to inspire party workers. The event served as a reminder of his contributions to the CPI(M) and the struggles he fought for.
