AGARTALA, Aug 29 (TIWN): A 6-year-old girl was allegedly sexually harassed by a 60-year-old man in her home. The victim is the accused person's neighbor and called him "Dadu" (grandfather). The accused Chandicharan Sarkar (60) is a government employee, now absconding.

On Friday, Women's Commission members visited the victim’s home, talked to the victim girl and her family.

According to the allegation of the victim, Sarkar earlier also molested her twice.

“I was watching a cartoon on my phone and Dadu took me to another room………… I screamed after he pushed me and…….. Then my mother rushed to the room and took me out,” the victim girl said.

The incident happened at Madhupur Saha Para area, visited by Women Commission members.

“I want strict punishment for the culprit who did that. We have also requested the OC to arrest him at the earliest,” said a member of the Women Commission.
