AGARTALA, Aug 26 (TIWN): The Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted simultaneous raids at four locations in Tripura, including Bishalgarh and Khayerpur, on Tuesday morning. The raids were carried out at the residences of individuals suspected to be involved in financial irregularities.
One of the locations raided was the home of Swarup Banik, a retired fire service employee and former manager of a private company, in Campbazar. Banik's brother, Somesh Banik, is a TCS officer currently working in the Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional Magistrate's office.
Central paramilitary forces were deployed to ensure security during the raids. The ED is investigating various aspects related to the case.
