AGARTALA, Aug 20 (TIWN): A daring burglary took place in Kailashahar's Durgapur area, where thieves broke into a house and stole cash and gold ornaments worth a significant amount. The incident occurred while the homeowner, Dhananjay Pal, was away at a hospital with his mother, who had been admitted for treatment.
The burglars allegedly stole Rs 10,000 in cash and gold jewelry from the house. Pal claimed that the thieves took advantage of the empty house to commit the crime.
This incident has raised concerns about the effectiveness of the police administration, especially after a series of burglaries in schools and homes in the area. Locals have criticized the police for poor patrolling, which they believe has emboldened the thieves.
The police have launched an investigation and are working to identify the culprits. However, the repeated incidents of burglary have left residents questioning the police's ability to maintain law and order.
