KAILASHAHAR, Aug 20 (TIWN): The Kailashahar police have arrested a youth named Chitrang Sarkar in connection with the theft of mobile phones from a Flipkart delivery. Sarkar, a resident of Bagbasa in North District, was apprehended based on a written complaint filed by Flipkart authorities.
A case (No. 40/2025, Section 305/3(5) BNS) has been registered, and Sarkar was remanded to three days of police custody by the court on Wednesday. The police believe that several others may be involved in the theft racket.
OC Tapas Malakar warned that unscrupulous elements are targeting valuable items during unloading and replacing them with bricks or wood. He urged everyone to remain vigilant and cautious during such operations.
