AGARTALA, Aug 20 (TIWN): For the last few days, viral social media posts have been accusing Bhattapukur area club’s members under BJP leader cum Club Secretary Ashim Bhattachrajee of attacking local women there.
Breaking the silence after two days, Ashim Bhattacharjee organized a press conference at Suktara club and said, it’s very unfortunate to watch how people are misled by a group of people leading them to give false statements.

Bhattacharjee said the issue eruption on Manasa puja night after some club members interfered in an illegal gathering of miscreants, and that was followed by a disruption created by a group who were on drugs.

Bhattacharjee said, strict actions will be taken against drug-dealers and consumers regardless of political identities.
