The Manipuri Students' Coordination Committee warned the government to go on a protest if their demands are not fulfilled.

President of the student body Dhirendra Singha said, it’s unfortunate that even after the official announcement of recruiting Manipuri language teachers in schools in 1998, no initiative was taken ultimately, whereas in other states and even in countries like Bangladesh, the Manipuri language is given recognition.

The organization also demanded the formation of an administrative council with the initiative of the government.
