Lalsingmura, Aug 7 (TIWN): The people of Tripura are facing various problems with electricity services, with many consumers expressing their frustration over issues like excessive billing and irregular power supply. Pranab Debnath, an auto-rickshaw driver residing in Lalsingmura Ramchhara area under Charilam Assembly constituency, is one such victim.
Despite informing the Jangaliya Electricity Department in Bishalgarh about the power issue in his residence through both verbal and written complaints, the department has failed to take adequate measures to resolve the problem.
Debnath expressed his frustration to the media on Thursday, stating that he has been without electricity for over a week. He alleged that the power supply in his area remains disrupted for an extended period during even slight rainfall. Debnath further claimed that despite informing the electricity department, the workers only conduct repairs according to their convenience, leaving the consumers at their mercy.
