KAMALPUR, FEB. 10, (TIWN): After the locale caught two youths stealing materials from a pump house at South Manikbhander, a sensational fact revealed about the Water Resource Kamalpur division. One JE of the department Mantu Das filed a case with Kamalpur Police Station demanding that in last three years irrigation project materials of more than 10, 00, 000 rupees were stolen from different sites.

On Sunday night the locale of the South Manikbhnader area noticed some youths doing something with the pump house of the irrigation project. Due to curiosity, they went to the spot found the youths stealing pipes and other materials from the pump house and handed them over to police. Police identified them as Uttam Debnath of kulai and Mithu Debnath of Durai Shibbari and kept them in remand. In a twist, the JE of the division Mantu Das demanded in a written complaint to the police that, in last three fiscals materials costing 10, 00, 000 rupees got stolen. Now the role of the department also came under scanner after this complaint.
