AGARTALA, Aug 3 (TIWN): Addressing at a blood donation camp, organized by Arun Uday Sangha, Minister Sushanta Chowdhury advocated the “greatness” behind blood donation, comparing it with other wise works on earth. The Minister stated, there is no other such wise action that can be taken by a human than donating blood.
“Today you are donating blood, without knowing who will receive the blood. Whereas it will go to a man living in Sabroom or West Bengal or Dharmanagar or Agartala. Nobody knows if the blood will go to a Hindu’s body or a Muslim’s body but still people donate blood,” he said.
“Anybody who receives the blood will be helped and the blood might save a life,” said Chowdhury. “No scientific invention could create blood.”
The Minister also praised the blood donation drive’s rise in the state.
He said, even though during Covid’s time, a significant blood crisis was felt but the spirit is restored now.
