Bishalgarh, July 17 (TIWN): The Enforcement Department conducted a raid on a Smart Point outlet near the Motor Stand in Bishalgarh, following allegations of selling expired food items. The raid was carried out on Wednesday afternoon, and officials from the Enforcement Department, including Deputy Collector and Magistrate Prasenjit Das and DCM Soumyadeep Debnath, were present during the operation.
The officials inspected the premises and seized expired food items. The management of Smart Point assured the Enforcement Department that they would take corrective measures to prevent such incidents in the future and ensure customer satisfaction.
They also stated that expired items would be returned to the company, and staff would be trained to maintain better customer service.
