AGARTALA, July 16 (TIWN): Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Wednesday told the media that under the BJP Govt, Tripura's 19,800 unemployed youths received regular government jobs. CM also said, apart from regular jobs, additional contractual jobs were crossing 7,000. CM addressed the media while attending the Offers of Appointment distribution program among the Qualified Candidates for the post of T.E.S Gr. V( Diploma) Civil, Mechanical & Electrical at Muktadhara Auditorium, Agartala, when he said so.
The chief minister further mentioned that only government job is not the only option, as other jobs are also being created.
"Govt jobs will be there and that's not only for the employees but also for the government's functioning. The employers help the administration to function," said CM. "But focus is also there to generate employment with skill development."
"Prime Minister Modi also has been emphasising skill development," he added.
CM further mentioned that in 2014, the skilled employees were only 24% in India and now it's around 54%.
