House for 85 families of Bamutia Block under IAY

AGARTALA, February 10 (TIWN): Houses for at least 85 families of Bamutia Block are under construction under the centrally sponsored Indira Abhas Yojna (IAY), while the houses for 91 families of the very block will be constructed under the State Abhas Scheme.
The state govt. on its recent drive has decided to construct houses for the BPL holder families under the Bamutia Block.
At least 176 families will be covered under the centrally sponsored IAY and the state Abhas Scheme.
The IAY will cover up at least 85 BPL holder families under the Bamutia Block, while the state Abhas scheme will cover up at least 91 BPL holder families. Rs. 75, 000 will be spend for the construction of single house.
However recently the construction of toilets are under process for at least 310 tea worker families, while the construction for toilet on at least 27 Anganwari under the Bamutia Block are in process. Besides, during the current Financial Year (FY) the Minority Welfare Department has sanctioned Rs. 22. 50 lakh under the Bamutia Block.
