Agartala, June 27 (TIWN): In a significant operation, the East Agartala Police Station arrested one Indian middleman and two Bangladeshi nationals, identified as Krishna Debnath, Ruma Sekh, and Aklima Amtar. The trio was apprehended from the North Gate area of Agartala.
According to OC Rana Chatterjee, the Bangladeshis had entered India illegally without any documents or visa. The middleman, Krishna Debnath, was allegedly involved in facilitating their entry.
The OC stated that the police will seek remand for further investigation into the matter. The arrest highlights the ongoing efforts of the local authorities to curb illegal activities and immigration in the region.
