AGARTALA, June 24 (TIWN): Tripura police arrested a woman on Tuesday in connection with drug smuggling. During regular checking, 270 bottles of cough syrup were seized by police. Also, 21 kg of dry cannabis were seized from a suitcase that was being carried by a woman, and consequently, police detained her. A total of nine packets of Ganja were seized from her suitcase.
Police lodged an NDPS case against her, and she was thoroughly interrogated by the Agartala Rail police.

The seized cough syrups would be worth Rs. 1 lakh 35 thousand.
It’s assumed that after interrogation, more information would be received from her, which might help police to delve deep into the drug smuggling network.
