AGARTALA, June 23 (TIWN): Tripura Congress President Asish Saha on Monday condemned BJP’s activities during a Congress rally yesterday in Udaipur Dataram, where the BJP activists entered with party flags in Congress’s rally when Sudip Barman was delivering a speech criticizing the BJP Govt.
Addressing a press meet, Saha said, “Even though the chief minister is repeatedly claiming about law and order betterment but reality is that the party is governed by anti-social elements.”
“Today, BJP’s anti-social elements are running the police stations,” said Saha.
“BJP lost its ground and their organizational structure is dismantling, and to hold the ground, they have escalated the attacks on Congress,” said Saha.
“This was not the first time that Sudip Barman was attacked, and many other leaders were also attacked, but it can not stop Congress from organizing rallies and protests,” said Saha.
“We would defend ourselves next time,” warned Asish Saha.
