AGARTALA, June 8 (TIWN): Ruling BJP’s alliance partner IPFT on Sunday demanded detention centers for illegal foreigners, ignoring the fact that it might start a huge expense for the taxpayers’ money.
“If you push back the Bangladeshis, they might reenter in Tripura,” said an IPFT leader. “So it’s better to open detention centers for them and to keep them there as punishment.”
“We raised our demand since 1967 for a separate Tipraland seeing the massive influx of illegal migrants to our land. Till now, for doing that, we are accused of being communal but now whole India is seeing the consequence of intrusion,” said the IPFT leader.
“People who enter Tripura illegally, would spread across India just like cancer,” said IPFT.
