AGARTALA, May 5 (TIWN): “The physical test’s candidates’ list has vanished from the website, and the result is not shown yet. The examination process for jail warden started before the last Assembly election 2023, but the entire process has been stuck since the physical test was conducted. Depression is gripping us due to the uncertainty,” said a job aspirant who visited the police headquarters to submit a petition to the Inspector General of Prisons, inquiring about the slow recruitment progress.
The job aspirants said it’s nearly 20 times that they are visiting the office but so far no answer has been received.
249 total posts were created for jail warden jobs and the process started from 2022 December.
“The physical list that was uploaded has disappeared. It was also never uploaded how many candidates have qualified in the physical test. It is unknown when the next exam will be taken,” said a job aspirant. “When we come to the officers, they fail to give us any straight response. They say that our file is stuck at the higher authority level.”
“The government must look at the unemployment issue. Only creation of new posts and forgetting about the ongoing recruitment won’t help us. Job candidates are now depressed. The recruitment started before 2023 election, must end now as it’s May, 2025,” he added.
