AGARTALA, April 21 (TIWN): Few houses have been affected in Sonamura after constant rain on Sunday night.
Many families under Melaghar police station have been affected by excessive rainfall as storms broke boundaries and took away roofs, which are mostly made of tin and bamboo.
Amir Hossain, a local resident, whose house was badly affected in the storm, had to rush out of his home when the storm shook off the living room.
Amir Hossain managed to get out of the room with his wife and children and took shelter under a neighbor's roof.
Cattle, agricultural lands, and cow sheds are also among the damaged areas that farmers in Sonamura are facing.
