TIWN April 20

BISHALGARH, April 20 (TIWN): Giving a shockwave to BJP, its ally Tipra Motha launched a protest partnering with opposition CPI-M and Congress on Sunday against the Waqf Bill. A massive rally with Indian flags was organized amid police rejected to give rally permission. The three political parties came under a joint movement naming Jana Adhikar Sangram Parishad and organized the protest. Various top leaders from three parties participated in the protest and spoke against the Waqf bill.
With slogans of "We'll not let the BJP Govt implement the dark law.......", the organizers were able to gather thousands of people in Bishalgarh.
Addressing the rally, Tripura High Court advocate and Tripura Human Rights Organization president Purushottom Roy Barman said this amendment is aiming to loot Waqf properties cunningly.
“This is not a fight for Muslims, but the whole nation is today united against this intrigue,” added Barman.
