AGARTALA, April 20 (TIWN): Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) Mayor Dipak Majumder has inaugurated colorful streetlights in Ramnagar, Agartala in presence of locals. Addressing media, Dipak Majumder said it's a part of SMART city project. The lights are tri-color signifying Indian flag.

"This area was always under darkness, and so we decided to put lights in the area. Generally, some drug addicts occupy the area after evening, but because of these lights, now the area will be walkable for the common citizens," said the Mayor. "That's how we are planning the development of the city."

Ramnagar is Mayor Dipak Majumder's constituency and the lights were inaugurated at Ward No-16 of Ramnagar 5.
