The incident happened in Kailashahar subdivision, Ward No-14, in the Padder Paar area.

“For the last two days, water supplies have been heavily disrupted. Fully iron-mixed water in small quantities was received. Still, we managed to some extent purify it through filters,” said a local who was collecting water from the drainage system. “But today the water supply is fully stopped. What should we do?”

“We were preparing for Basanti puja in our locality and this is happening. Water is life and how humans can survive like this amid such a level of water crisis?” a local told media.
