AMARPUR, April 2 (TIWN): They alleged it is a corruption. “We will not open the lock until a new helper is recruited from our locality and remove the newly hired one,” said an agitator who participated in a protest demanding immediate revocation of Anganwadi helper appointment. The incident happened in Amarpur subdivision's Jarjharia area which falls under Ward No-1. A new helper post was filled up at the Anganwadi center and the hired employee is from Natun Bazar, which is a little far away from the locality.
“How can they appoint someone from different ward?” the agitators argued. “All we demand is someone to be recruited from our village.”
The appointment was made under ICSD project to the Anganwadi center, a rural pre-primary school.
