AGARTALA, March 19 (TIWN): In a shocking incident, an Agartala local named Subrata Dey was arrested with charges of organizing the gangrape of his wife, where he also indulged in the crime becoming one of the rapists. Police could arrest Subrata Dey in this case but his friends against whom accusations were made are still absconding.

Talking to media, a police official in Amtali PS said, the case was registered on 14th March and after investigation, police arrested the victim’s husband.

"A case was registered in our Police Station on 14th March," said Amtali Women PS sub-inspector Susmita Debnath. "The case was filed under 64 clause 2/70 clause 1/74/115 clause 1 BNS."

Accused Subrata Dey a resident of Jogendranagar, allegedly invited his friends to his home to take advantage of the friendship.

Then total of six men including Subrata Dey allegedly participated in this heinous crime taking the opportunity of the victim's physical health.

Police said the victim is 75% physically challenged.
