AGARTALA, March 4 (TIWN): A 27 years old man has been awarded 20 years jail after he kidnapped and raped a minor girl. The convict Abdul Mamik was convicted on Tuesday in a hearing at Belonia court at the bench of justice Govinda Das. Abdul Mallik, a resident of Manipur, kidnapped the victim from Sabroom in 2022. Since the victim’s missing complaint was lodged, Mani Bazar police started search operation and arrested Abdul Mamik from Manipur in July, 2022. The victim managed to call her family secretly from Manipur hotel and that information helped police to arrest the culprit.

From the same hotel, the girl was rescued and the kidnapper was arrested.

Today, Belonia court has convicted him, publishing him for further 20 years of jail.
