AGARTALA, Feb 16 (TIWN): BJP leader Jaba Rabi Das, who is also Upa-Pradan of Kalamkhet Gram Panchayat alleged her rubber garden was set on fire by miscreants, causing a devastating loss to her family.
Jaba Rani Das’s husband Bidur Das said the rubber garden was his only source of income with over 500 rubber plants in it.
The couple alleged that their garden was targeted because of the political identity.
“I lost everything today with this incident. We are members of BJP party and perhaps that’s the cause of their jealousy who set fire to our garden,” said Bidur Das.
After the incident, the Fire Brigade was called and after getting information, the fire brigade team rushed to the spot but by that time, he already lost his assets.
