The exact reason behind the fire could not be known, but it is suspected a short circuit perhaps caused the fire.

The fire sparked on the third floor of Aitarma, and triggered tension with heavy smoke gripped the capital city Agartala’s central area.

Fire Brigade officials said an investigation will be done to confirm the exact reason behind it.
