AGARTALA, Feb 12 (TIWN): Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said in a speech in Jirania on Wednesday that Tripura is now “terrorist-free” under PM Modi’s leadership. Referring to the surrender of ATTF and NLFT, the Chief Minister said, “Earlier when people heard about Northeast, the first thing that came to their mind was terrorism. Today, a total 12 MoUs signed in the region, and as well as many MoUs have been signed in Tripura too.”

“Recently, ATTF, and NLFT surrendered before Tripura Govt with their arms and weapons,” added CM.

“In other words, under PM Modi’s leadership, Tripura is now terrorist-free,” said CM.

"Earlier we could not go even to Dharmanagar without escorts. Today it's changed. Some opposition are trying to restore terrorism in Tripura. Let me tell you, nobody will be spared if they do so," he told the mass-gathering.

He further mentioned railway connectivity expansion and law and order issues, saying all these sectors have seen massive development under the BJP Government.
