AGARTALA, Feb 3 (TIWN): Drug smuggling is now turning family trade in Bangladesh bordered state Tripura to make hush money. Police busted the illegal drug stocks in Sonamura, Kamalnagar area’s residence Saiful Alam’s house. One person was detained in this connection named Ibrahim Mia, who is Saiful Alam’s father-in-law.
Both the family members are allegedly involved in this illegal trade and nurture Ganja plants in their own lands.
Based on secret information, police raided the home and seized 132 KG of Ganja, stocked in 5 drums.
Along with Sonamura police led by OC-Jayanta Dey, Sonamura DCM, Anamika Debbarma was present during the raid.
Wheras the father-in-law is now in police custody, the son-in-law is absconding.
