Elephant gunned down by miscreants ; teeth and meat taken out

KALYANPUR, Jan 20 (TIWN): In a barbaric incident, an elephant was killed brutally in Tripura. The incident happened in Kalyanpur, Twirupachara forest area. The miscreants shot the elephant and after killing it, they took out its teeth and meat.
Over 400 KG of meat was taken out from the elephant.
According to reports, a similar incident happened in 2014 and in that incident also, no one could be arrested.
Police personnel, and forest officials rushed to the spot. With the help of local people, the dead body of the elephant was set on fire as a part of the funeral.
