LONGTARAI, Jan 19 (TIWN): Centering a Tripura government project, once again disturbance was reported in the state after a contractor allegedly refused to pay commission to the BJP local leaders. Such an allegation was brought against BJP local leadership by an attacked construction worker after a group of miscreants attacked him physically.
The incident occurred at Longtarai Valley’s Maynama area where a river embarkment work has started.
“They asked money from the construction head, but he did not meet them,” said a worker. “As a result, they came here and attacked me.”
The attacked worker accused BJP members behind this activity.
“They need commission. They are mafias,” the worker added.
The accused BJP members who allegedly attacked the worker are : Sushol Chandra Kishore Chakma, Apan Kumar Chakma, Amar Singh Chakma, Paltan Chakma, Sanjit Chakma, Santira Chakma.
Last year centering Tripura government project, a murder took place in Agartala and similar disturbances have also been reported under the BJP-rule in last few years.
