AGARTALA, Dec 23 (TIWN): As people to gather at Mariam Nagar church in Agartala on the occasion of Christmas the preparations for the festival is going on with zeal on Monday. Only after two days, Christians’ biggest festival will begin. As per the rituals, the Chief Minister will visit the church in Mariam Nagar and would cut the cake.

Mariam Nagar church is the landmark destination for the people in Tripura and traditionally the entire area reels through festival temperament celebrating Christmas. 

This is not only a celebration of the Christians but regardless religious identities, people gather at the Church to celebrate. 

Youngsters, and college students gather with friends whereas family gatherings are also seen on the occasion.   

Security setup is tightened to avoid any disturbance and also volunteers are engaged in crowd management.
