Agatala, Feb 7 (TIWN): The condition of Anil Sarkar , veteran CPI(M) leader and vice – chairman of state planning board is reported to be critical.

This was informed by Health Minister Badal Choudhury today at secretariat.

Briefing media, the minister said Sarkar has been put on life support system  at AIIMS, Delhi after his condition deteriorated.

For quite a long time, the veteran leader was suffering from kidney ailment. Few days back he was admitted at a private hospital and was referred to Kolkata as his condtion  turned critical.  

The minister said from Kolkata he was shifted to AIIMS on Saturday for better medical attention.
