AGARTALA, February 7 (TIWN): Chief Minister Manik Sarkar today left for Delhi to attend the NITI Aayog (National Institution for Transforming India) meeting presided over by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, said the official sources.
The NITI Aayog meeting presided by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has started on February 6 at New Delhi.
Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar has left for Delhi to attend the third day meeting on February 8, said the official sources.
This meet would set the agenda for meeting of the Aayog's governing council comprising all Chief Ministers and Lieutenant Governors of Union Territories on February 8.
PM Modi is expected to bring clarity on whether the Aayog will be recognised as a government body or merely play the role of an economic think-tank.
The number of participants in the meeting chaired by PM Modi would be over 40 including eminent economists.
