AGARTALA, Nov 20 (TIWN): Tripura Youth Congress president Nil Kamal Saha slammed the BJP-led state government on the state’s unemployment rate.
Addressing the media in a press meet in Pabiachara, Fatikroy, Saha said, “Before 2018 election BJP raised slogans supporting the reduction of unemployment and job creation. With such promises, youth voted for the BJP but after coming into power, BJP instead of reducing unemployment, has elevated the unemployment at a record-breaking rate.”
“Today Tripura’s unemployment rate is 14.7%. It was never like this! Since independence Tripura’s unemployment was not that high,” added Saha.
It can be mentioned here that, BJP before 2018 election promised the voters (in writing) to fill up 50,000 vacant posts under government departments within 1-year of government formation. The written document was published by the then Finance Minister of India, Arun Jaitley.
