AGARTALA, Nov 19 (TIWN): Tripura BJP MLA Bindu Debnath’s brother Uttam Debnath has joined Congress party on Tuesday.
The joining program in Dhanpur of Sonamura subdivision was held in presence of Congress State President Asish Saha and other Congress leaders.
Asish Saha handed over the party flag to the newly joined party member.
Bindu Debnath is a controversial figure who came to the media limelight for instigating chaos in Dharnpur and also was caught on camera threatening opposition party workers during Dhanpur’s recent local-level election.
