AGARTALA, Nov 7 (TIWN): In an operation, jointly carried out by BSF and Railway Police, GRP, six Bangladeshi nationals without possessing valid documents were apprehended at Agartala. The apprehended Bangladeshi nationals included one woman and two transgenders persons. In another operation three Bangladeshi nationals including 02 minors were apprehended by BSF troops of BOP Samrupara under PS Kailashahar district Unakoti while they were trying to exfiltrate to Bangladesh. A statement from BSF, Tripura sector headquarters said that the preliminary inquiry is going on.
BSF is maintaining a high level of alertness in the international border to prevent infiltration, said official source.
All the three Bangladeshi nationals are family members and residents of Maulvibazar, Bangladesh.
