AGARTALA, Nov 7 (TIWN): Amid extremely negative reputation over human rights violation in North Korea, Tripura CPI-M hesitated to take North Korea’s name when it was naming socialist nations that include China, Russia-like countries. Amid increasing jailing and disappearance of people, CPI-M said, human rights are secured in those nations. The party's shift away from North Korea reflects growing concerns about human rights abuses and the country's increasingly isolated international stance.
CPI-M party observed November revolution which the party called a movement for socialism. Various programs were organized by the communist party in the state Tripura. The main discussion program was held in Agartala Town Hall where senior CPI-M leaders addressed the comrades.
“Today also China, Russia, Cuba, Vietnam are dominating with full efforts to establish socialism. However, let’s skip North Korea……….” Said Jiten Chowdhury.
Former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar criticized the United States' capitalist policies, emphasizing that only socialism can save the world.
