The arrested person, Kudiram Karmakar is a non-resident of Tripura and was smuggling those items to Punjab via Tripura Sundari Express.

The seized items would worth Rs. 1.72 Lakhs, approximately.

NDPS case was lodged against him. It was said that many more might get arrested in this case.
