AGARTALA, Oct 18 (TIWN): Days after the horrifying stabbing incident killed a local businessman in Melarmath, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha visited the victim’s home who died yesterday during treatment at GB hospital. CM condoled the unexpected demise of the senior citizen, called the incident very unfortunate and unexpected. On 15th October, businessman Hari Shankar Saha was seated in his mobile store in Melarmath when suddenly the murderer Rahul Roy rushed to the store and started stabbing Hari Shankar Saha. It was alleged by public that police, TSR were present during the incident but they did not do anything to help the victim.
Police have started an investigation into this incident and SP West Kiran Kumar ordered a probe to find if any negligence was on police’s part. Actions were also taken against four TSR jawans who were present at the scene but did nothing to prevent it.
